I love Thanksgiving. I love it because it is a holiday about family and loving one another despite our difficulties. It is also a holiday about taking a slice of humble pie. Everyone enjoys the feast before them and is thankful that they have everything they could possibly need. I think this holiday is majorly overlooked and so are the people working to make it possible. We all should thank the people who are rushing in the kitchen to make everything perfect (not just now but all year round). We often take for granted that these not so simple tasks get done. To make this time of year a little less stressful for the people trying to pull it off, I will be posting some recipes, links, crafts, and anything else I can think of. If anyone has any requests for something they need then I will take them. Let me search out and come up with ideas for you.
Just a few quotes (The last one made me laugh):
He who thanks but with the lips
Thanks but in part;
The full, the true Thanksgiving
Comes from the heart.
~J.A. Shedd
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures. ~Thornton Wilder
An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on Thanksgiving Day. ~Irv Kupcinet
